Quick take

Our very first attempt at making ramen from scratch—broth, chashu, tare, menma, tamago, noodles and aromatic oil—following @donramen_es recipe. The broth turned out to be the biggest surprise, rich and flavorful. The chashu and tamago could have used more hours of marination, and the noodles, while perfectly crafted, ended up slightly overcooked. Still, for a homemade bowl, it was a delicious and rewarding start to our ramen-making journey.
